Short Description  Acacia harpophylla open forest on Mesozoic to Proterozoic igneous rocks

Notes  

Comments  12.12.26: Extensively cleared for cropping. 12.12.26a: Confined to western margins of bioregion. Cleared and thinned for grazing and agriculture. Some relatively intact remnants present in road reserves. Eucalyptus populnea is one of the species characteristics of the broad overlap between the Southeast Queensland and Brigalow Belt bioregions.

Fraser Coast region distribution  All mapped in an area in the far south-west of the region at Grongah National Park, Malarga.

Long Description  Acacia harpophylla +/- semi-evergreen vine thicket +/- Casuarina cristata +/- Eucalyptus populnea. Occurs on Mesozoic to Proterozoic igneous rocks. Lower slopes. (BVG1M: 25a) Vegetation communities in this regional ecosystem include: 12.12.26a: Eucalyptus populnea +/- E. tereticornis grassy woodland. Occurs on lower slopes and undulations on Mesozoic to Proterozoic igneous rocks. (BVG1M: 17a)
