Species information

Acacia suaveolens     (Sm.) Willd.

This native shrub is commonly known as sweet wattle.

Reported at 7 Fraser Coast localities: Beelbi Creek, Boonooroo Plains, Fraser Island, Pacific Haven, Poona, Tinnanbar, Tuan Forest.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act this taxon is classified as Least Concern.
Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Acacia suaveolens is described as a "higher dicot" in the Leguminosae (Mimosaceae) family.
