It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Recorded on Fraser Island. Also reported at Aubinville, Dundowran Beach, Howard, Maryborough, Teebar, Torbanlea and along Mary River (Juliet Musgrave, FCRC). As at 01/07/2016 declared as a Local Law Pest Plant for the Fraser Coast region.
