Acacia neobrachycarpa     I.M.Turner

This native shrub is commonly known as prickly wattle.

Reported at 2 Fraser Coast localities: Boompa, Tinana.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act this taxon is classified as Least Concern.
Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Acacia neobrachycarpa is described as a "higher dicot" in the Leguminosae (Mimosaceae) family.

Previously known as Acacia brachycarpa (Queensland Flora Census 2016). Only one Fraser Coast region record at Maryborough. Also reported at Mount Walsh.
