Species information

Acacia falcata     Willd.

This native shrub is commonly known as sickle wattle.

Reported at 18 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Bidwill, Boompa, Gigoomgan, Glenwood, Kawungan, Mount Urah, Paterson, Point Vernon, River Heads, St Mary, Susan River, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Teddington, Tinana, Urangan, Yengarie.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act this taxon is classified as Least Concern.
Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Acacia falcata is described as a "higher dicot" in the Leguminosae (Mimosaceae) family.

Slender wattle to about 2 metres tall. Usually present in only small numbers. Flowering Yengarie July 2018.
