Species information

Acacia holosericea     A.Cunn. ex G.Don

This introduced tree is commonly known as soapy wattle.

Reported at 1 Fraser Coast locality: Booral.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act this taxon is classified as Least Concern.
Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Acacia holosericea is described as a "higher dicot" in the Leguminosae (Mimosaceae) family.

A Least Concern native species with wide distribution across northern Australia to as far south as Bargara. Not recorded in the Fraser Coast region but occasionally cultivated.
