Species information

Acacia juncifolia     Benth.

This native shrub is commonly known as broom wattle.

Reported at 3 Fraser Coast localities: Aldershot, Beelbi Creek, Yengarie.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act this taxon is classified as Least Concern.
Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Acacia juncifolia is described as a "higher dicot" in the Leguminosae (Mimosaceae) family.

Previously known as Acacia juncifolia subsp. juncifolia (Australian Plant Census). Scattered records within Fraser Coast region at Walligan, Biggenden Road and Burrum River. Flowering at Yengarie July 2018.
