Species information

Acacia sophorae     (Labill.) R.Br.

This native shrub is commonly known as coastal wattle.

Reported at 0 Fraser Coast localities: .

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act this taxon is classified as Least Concern.
Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Acacia sophorae is described as a "higher dicot" in the Leguminosae (Mimosaceae) family.

Known as Acacia longifolia subsp. sophorae outside of Qld (Australian Plant Census). No Fraser Coast region records. Distribution in Queensland is from Sunshine Coast and to the south.
