Species information

Acalypha eremorum     Muell.Arg.

This native shrub is commonly known as soft acalypha.

Acalypha eremorum is described as a "dicot" in the Euphorbiaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Uncommon in the Fraser Coast region recorded at Mt Urah. Reported at Mt Kanigan, Mt Bauple, Mt Urah, Grongah National Park, Tinana Creek, Burrum River and Eli Creek. Data deficient species for the Burnett Mary NRM region (Department of Environment and Heritage Protection Last updated 09/03/2015). 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 7 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Bidwill, Howard, Kanigan, Malarga, Mount Urah, Urraween.
