Species information

Aggreflorum speciosum     (Schauer) Peter G.Wilson

This native shrub is commonly known as showy tea-tree.

Aggreflorum speciosum is described as a "dicot" in the Myrtaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Recorded at Tin Can Bay, Tuan and K'gari (Fraser Island) which is the northern limit. Reported on the mainland at various other locations.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 9 Fraser Coast localities: Burrum River, Dunmora, K'gari, Pacific Haven, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Tuan Forest, Urangan, Wondunna.
