Species information

Emmenosperma cunninghamii     Benth.

This native tree is commonly known as bonewood.

Emmenosperma cunninghamii is described as a "dicot" in the Rhamnaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

A relatively uncommon species (Peter Young). Recorded on K'gari (Fraser Island) and Dundowran in the Fraser Coast region. Also reported at Tinana Creek, River Heads, Craignish and Takura. These areas within the southernmost part of the range. Further disjunct population in the vicinity of Gympie.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 6 Fraser Coast localities: Craignish, Dundowran Beach, Maryborough, River Heads, Takura, Teddington.
