Species information

Eucalyptus moluccana     Roxb.

This native tree is commonly known as gum-topped box.

Eucalyptus moluccana is described as a "dicot" in the Myrtaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Prefers heavy sometimes sodic soils. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 28 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple Forest, Beelbi Creek, Booral, Burrum Heads, Burrum River, Craignish, Duckinwilla, Eli Waters, Glenbar, Gootchie, Gundiah, Mount Urah, Netherby, Owanyilla, Pacific Haven, Paterson, Pialba, Point Vernon, St Mary, Susan River, Takura, Tiaro, Tinana, Toogoom, Torbanlea, Walkers Point, Woocoo, Yerra.
