Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.
Uncommon in the Fraser Coast Region recorded on K'gari (Fraser Island) with one mainland record at Craignish (northern limit of species). Reported by Coaldrake (1961) as occurring in the Howard area but possibly all cut out for use in mine timbers (Maryborough Elliott River Land Use Study). Recently reported at Poona creek (see iNaturalist Australia. https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/187206093).
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
