Species information

Eucalyptus resinifera     Sm.

This native tree is commonly known as red stringybark.

Eucalyptus resinifera is described as a "dicot" in the Myrtaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Significant local species due to restricted distribution within the Fraser Coast region. Recorded on K'gari (Fraser Island) with two mainland records near Tinnanbar. Unconfirmed reports at Burrum River (Howard), Susan River and Tinana. Recently observed at Poona Creek (see iNaturalist Australia, https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/186119713).  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 4 Fraser Coast localities: Burrum Town, Howard, Susan River, Tuan Forest.
