Species information

Galactia tenuiflora var. villosa     (Wight & Arn.) Benth.

This native vine or climber is commonly known as snail flower.

Galactia tenuiflora var. villosa is described as a "dicot" in the Leguminosae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

This variety with restricted distribution confined to littoral habitats. Reported at Toogoom and Dundowran Beach. Flowering in January 2022. https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/105302634 https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/105302634 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 1 Fraser Coast locality: Dundowran Beach.
