Homalium alnifolium     Thwaites & F.Muell. ex F.Muell.

This native tree is commonly known as brown boxwood.

Homalium alnifolium is described as a "dicot" in the Salicaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

An uncomomn species in the Fraser Coast region recorded only at Mount Bauple, Mt Kanigan and Grongah National Park (Malarga). Reported at Gutchy Creek 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 3 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Glenwood, Malarga.
