Species information

Mackinlaya macrosciadea     (F.Muell.) F.Muell.

This native shrub is commonly known as blue umbrella.

Mackinlaya macrosciadea is described as a "dicot" in the Apiaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Tinana Creek is the recorded disjunct southern limit of the species. Also reported at Mt Bauple. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 6 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Bauple Forest, Talegalla Weir, Teddington, Tiaro, Tuan Forest.
