Species information

Leichhardtia brevis     (P.I.Forst.) P.I.Forst.

This native vine or climber is commonly known as milk vine.

Leichhardtia brevis is described as a "dicot" in the Apocynaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Very uncommon in the Fraser Coast region recorded at Mount Walsh which is a marked disjunct southern limit. Previously known as Marsdenia brevis (Queensland Flora Census 2021). 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
