Species information

Denhamia disperma     (F.Muell.) M.P.Simmons

This native tree is commonly known as orange boxwood.

Denhamia disperma is described as a "dicot" in the Celastraceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Previously known as Maytenus disperma (Australian Plant Census). 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 16 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Boompa, Craignish, Doongul, Duckinwilla, Dundowran Beach, Glenorchy, Granville, Kanigan, Magnolia, Malarga, Maryborough, Owanyilla, Takura, Teddington, Yerra.
