Parsonsia plaesiophylla     S.T.Blake

This native vine or climber is commonly known as veiny silkpod.

Parsonsia plaesiophylla is described as a "dicot" in the Apocynaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Uncommon species in the Fraser Coast region recorded at Mt Bauple and Mt Walsh. Reported at Tinana Creek, Wongi National Park (Fairleys Knob) and St Mary. Fraser Coast populations are near the southern limit of the species  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 7 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Craignish, Doongul, St Mary, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Woocoo.
