Species information

Persoonia prostrata     R.Br.

This native shrub is commonly known as pine-leaf geebung.

Persoonia prostrata is described as a "dicot" in the Proteaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Extinct in the Wild. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is classified as Extinct.

Restricted to the northern tip of K'gari (Fraser Island), although may now be extinct (P.H.Weston (2017) Persoonia prostrata. In: Flora of Australia. It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
