Species information

Pinus elliottii     Engelm.

This introduced tree is commonly known as slash pine.

Pinus elliottii is described as a "conifer" in the Pinaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is not classified as it is not native to Queensland. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

As at 01/07/2016 listed as a non-declared environmental weed in the Fraser Coast region. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 33 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Bauple Forest, Beelbi Creek, Bidwill, Boompa, Boonooroo Plains, Booral, Craignish, Duckinwilla, Dundathu, Dundowran Beach, Glenorchy, Glenwood, Granville, Howard, Island Plantation, Kawungan, Maaroom, Magnolia, Mount Urah, Paterson, Point Vernon, Poona, Sunshine Acres, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Teddington, Tinana, Tinana South, Toogoom, Tuan Forest, Walligan, Yerra.
