Heptapleurum actinophyllum     (Endl.) Lowry & G.M.Plunkett

This introduced tree is commonly known as umbrella tree.

Heptapleurum actinophyllum is described as a "dicot" in the Araliaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Occurs as far south as Miriam Vale (Melzer, R. and Plumb, J. 2007 Plants of Capricornia, Capricorn Conservation Council). Naturalised in the Wide Bay district (Queensland Flora Census 2022). This species has escaped cultivation and is commonly reported across the region. Listed as an invasive plant under the Biosecurity Act 2014 but not prohibited or restricted. As at 01/07/2016 declared as a Local Law Pest Plant for the Fraser Coast region for K'gari (Fraser Island) area only. Previously known as Schefflera actinophylla (Queensland Flora Census 2020).  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 30 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Beaver Rock, Bidwill, Booral, Burrum Heads, Craignish, Dundowran Beach, Granville, Howard, Island Plantation, Kawungan, K'gari, Magnolia, Maryborough, Mungar, Pialba, Point Vernon, Poona, River Heads, Sunshine Acres, Takura, Teddington, Tinana, Tinnanbar, Toogoom, Torquay, Urangan, Urraween, Walligan, Yengarie.
