Species information

Sida cordifolia     L.

This introduced shrub is commonly known as flannel weed.

Sida cordifolia is described as a "dicot" in the Malvaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is not classified as it is not native to Queensland. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

As at 01/07/2016 listed as a non-declared environmental weed for the Fraser Coast region. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 44 Fraser Coast localities: Antigua, Bauple, Beelbi Creek, Bidwill, Boonooroo Plains, Booral, Burrum Heads, Craignish, Doongul, Duckinwilla, Dundowran, Dundowran Beach, Gigoomgan, Glenorchy, Glenwood, Gundiah, Howard, Island Plantation, Kanigan, Kawungan, Maryborough, Mount Urah, Nikenbah, Pialba, Point Vernon, Poona, River Heads, St Mary, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Teddington, Teebar, Tiaro, Tinana, Tinana South, Tinnanbar, Toogoom, Torquay, Urangan, Urraween, Walkers Point, Walligan, Yengarie, Yerra.
