Species information

Stephania japonica var. discolor     (Thunb.) Miers

This native vine or climber is commonly known as tape vine.

Stephania japonica var. discolor is described as a "dicot" in the Menispermaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 38 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Bauple Forest, Bidwill, Boompa, Booral, Burrum Heads, Craignish, Duckinwilla, Dundowran Beach, Eli Waters, Gigoomgan, Glenwood, Gootchie, Granville, Great Sandy Strait, Gundiah, Howard, Kanigan, K'gari, Magnolia, Mount Urah, Owanyilla, Point Vernon, Poona, River Heads, St Mary, Talegalla Weir, Tandora, Teddington, Tiaro, Tinnanbar, Toogoom, Torquay, Tuan Forest, Urangan, Wondunna, Yengarie, Yerra.
