Species information

Streblus brunonianus     (Endl.) F.Muell.

This native tree is commonly known as whalebone tree.

Streblus brunonianus is described as a "dicot" in the Moraceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Previously known as Streblus pendulinus (Queensland Flora Census 2015). In Plants of the World Online known as Paratrophis pendulina. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 25 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Bauple Forest, Bidwill, Craignish, Doongul, Duckinwilla, Gigoomgan, Glenorchy, Glenwood, Gundiah, Howard, Kanigan, Magnolia, Malarga, Maryborough, Mount Urah, Pioneers Rest, Scarness, St Mary, Talegalla Weir, Teddington, Tiaro, Torquay, Tuan Forest, Urangan.
