Species information

Syncarpia glomulifera subsp. glomulifera     (Sm.) Nied.

This native tree is commonly known as turpentine.

Syncarpia glomulifera subsp. glomulifera is described as a "dicot" in the Myrtaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Very uncommon species in the Fraser Coast region with records only at Glenbar State Forest 4. Elsewhere the recorded distribution is from southern New South Wales to North Queensland. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
