Species information

Syzygium luehmannii     (F.Muell.) L.A.S.Johnson

This native tree is commonly known as small-leaved water gum.

Syzygium luehmannii is described as a "dicot" in the Myrtaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

K'gari is the northern limit of the south-east Queensland population. In the Fraser Coast region the only mainland record is at Tin Can Bay.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 6 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple Forest, Duckinwilla, K'gari, Teddington, Toogoom, Tuan Forest.
