Species information

Ripogonum elseyanum     F.Muell.

This native vine or climber is commonly known as hairy supplejack.

Ripogonum elseyanum is described as a "monocot" in the Ripogonaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Nearest record to the Fraser Coast region in the Gympie area. However distribution of southern population northern limit described as K'gari (Fraser Island) (Gwen Harden, Hugh Nicholson, Bill McDonald, Nan Nicholson, Terry Tame, John Williams. 2014. Rainforest Plants of Australia). Also known from the Atherton Tableland in far north Queensland. https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/135725204  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
