Species information

Eucalyptus portuensis     K.D.Hill

This native tree is commonly known as broad-leaved stringybark.

Eucalyptus portuensis is described as a "dicot" in the Myrtaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

According to the Australian Plant Census now known as Eucalyptus acmenoides (February 2016). However Queensland Flora Census 2020 has this as a distinct species with seven records in the Wide Bay district. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
