Species information

Erigeron pusillus     Nutt.

This introduced groundcover is commonly known as smooth fleabane.

Erigeron pusillus is described as a "dicot" in the Asteraceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is not classified as it is not native to Queensland. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Previously known as Conyza parva (Queensland Flora Census 2016). Previously known as Conyza canadensis var. pusilla (Australian Plant Census). Up to 2 metres tall. Involucral bracts with purplish red tips. Stems glabrous or with few hairs (Stanley and Ross. 1986. Flora of south-eastern Queensland, Volume 2).  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
