Species information

Myrsine serpenticola     Jackes

This native shrub is commonly known as endangered muttonwood.

Myrsine serpenticola is described as a "dicot" in the Myrsinaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Endangered. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Records for Fraser Coast region at Booral and Tinnanbar (southern limit), with other records just outside the region at Mount Walsh and Woodgate. Distribution further north to Marlborough.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
