Species information

Acacia fimbriata     A.Cunn. ex G.Don

This native shrub is commonly known as Brisbane golden wattle.

Acacia fimbriata is described as a "dicot" in the Leguminosae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Includes previously recognised Acacia perangusta (Reduction of Acacia perangusta to the synonymy of A. fimbriata Les Pedley Austrobaileya Vol. 6, No. 4 (2004), p. 983). Flowering August 2016 Yengarie. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 26 Fraser Coast localities: Aldershot, Bauple, Bauple Forest, Beelbi Creek, Booral, Brooweena, Burgowan, Burrum Heads, Burrum Town, Craignish, Doongul, Duckinwilla, Howard, Maryborough, Maryborough West, Pacific Haven, Point Vernon, Susan River, Takura, Tiaro, Toogoom, Torbanlea, Walligan, Wondunna, Yengarie, Yerra.
