Species information

Elaeodendron australe var. australe     Vent.

This native tree is commonly known as red olive plum.

Elaeodendron australe var. australe is described as a "dicot" in the Celastraceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Uncommon in the Fraser Coast region recorded at Mt Walsh. Also reported at Dundowran and Tinana. Previously known as Cassine australis var. australis (Australian Plant Census). 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 2 Fraser Coast localities: Dundowran, Tinana.
