Species information

Commersonia viscidula     Guymer

This native shrub is commonly known as commersonia.

Commersonia viscidula is described as a "dicot" in the Byttneriaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Previously known as Commersonia sp. (Mt Tinbeerwah GP.Guymer1786) (Austrobaileya Vol. 7, No. 1 (2005), pp. 231-250). Known as Androcalva viscidula (Guymer) C.F.Wilkins & Whitlock and placed in the Malvaceae family in the Australian Plant Census. No Fraser Coast region records. Found in the vicinity of Mt Walsh. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
