In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Vulnerable. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.
No Fraser Coast region records. Main distribution between Gympie and Gold Coast with an outlier at Mt Walsh and just west of Biggenden. ‘Back on Track’ priority plant species for the Burnett Mary NRM region.
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
