Acacia pubicosta     C.T.White

This native shrub is commonly known as rare wattle.

Reported at 1 Fraser Coast locality: Boompa.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act this taxon is classified as Least Concern.
Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Acacia pubicosta is described as a "higher dicot" in the Leguminosae (Caesalpinioideae, mimosoid clade) family.

In Fraser Coast region restricted to the Mount Walsh area. Was Near Threatened in Queensland, but since 2014 reclassified as Least Concern. Flowering Boompa May 2016.
