Species information

Acacia fasciculifera     F.Muell. ex Benth.

This native tree is commonly known as scaly bark.

Reported at 4 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Glenwood, Kanigan, Mount Urah.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act this taxon is classified as Least Concern.
Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Acacia fasciculifera is described as a "higher dicot" in the Leguminosae (Caesalpinioideae, mimosoid clade) family.

Uncommon in the Fraser Coast region, restricted to the edges of rainforest ecosystems on steep slopes including Mount Bauple, Mount Urah and Mount Kanigan.
