Special Values
12.9-10.19: Habitat for threatened plant species including Macrozamia parcifolia. This ecosystem is known to provide suitable habitat for koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus). 12.9-10.19a: This ecosystem is known to provide suitable habitat for koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus).
Fraser Coast region distribution
Large areas mapped in the central-western part of the region. Some smaller areas closer to the coast.
Long Description
Eucalyptus fibrosa subsp. fibrosa woodland +/- Corymbia citriodora subsp. variegata, E. acmenoides or E. portuensis, Angophora leiocarpa, E. major. Understorey often sparse. Localised occurrences of Eucalyptus sideroxylon. Occurs on Cainozoic and Mesozoic sediments. Not a Wetland. (BVG1M: 12a). Vegetation communities in this regional ecosystem include: 12.9-10.19a: Corymbia henryi and/or Eucalyptus fibrosa subsp. fibrosa open forest. Other commonly associated species include, Corymbia citriodora subsp. variegata, E. carnea, E. siderophloia, E. crebra and E. major. Occurs in coastal areas on Cainozoic and Mesozoic sediments. Not a Wetland. (BVG1M: 10b).
