Species information

Croton insularis     Baill.

This native tree is commonly known as silver croton.

Croton insularis is described as a "dicot" in the Euphorbiaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Flowering St Mary July 2020. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 30 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Bauple Forest, Bidwill, Boompa, Booral, Brooweena, Burrum Heads, Craignish, Doongul, Duckinwilla, Dundowran Beach, Gootchie, Howard, Kawungan, Magnolia, Malarga, Mount Urah, Nikenbah, Owanyilla, Pialba, River Heads, St Mary, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Teddington, Tiaro, Tinana, Urraween, Yengarie, Yerra.
