Only one stand of this species in Tuan Forest. Since 1995 the main species planted has been Pinus elliottii elliottii × Pinus caribaea hondurensis (Max Tweddell, https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/233225194, https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/233205978).
It has not been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
