Species information

Philotheca queenslandica     (C.T.White) P.I.Forst.

This native shrub is commonly known as Queensland waxflower.

Philotheca queenslandica is described as a "dicot" in the Rutaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Limited distribution from South Stradbroke Island north to Maryborough. Fraser Coast region is the northern limit of the species.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 4 Fraser Coast localities: Boonooroo Plains, K'gari, Tinnanbar, Tuan Forest.
