Species information

Agathis robusta     (C.Moore ex F.Muell.) F.M.Bailey

This native tree is commonly known as kauri pine.

Agathis robusta is described as a "conifer" in the Araucariaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Listed as a priority locally significant species in Fraser Coast (Stage 2 Threatened Species Action Plan. July 2019. Fraser Coast Regional Council). 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 28 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Bidwill, Booral, Brooweena, Burrum Heads, Burrum River, Craignish, Doongul, Duckinwilla, Dundowran, Dundowran Beach, Eli Waters, Howard, K'gari, Magnolia, Mount Urah, Pialba, Point Vernon, River Heads, St Mary, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Teddington, Tiaro, Tinana, Toogoom, Tuan Forest, Urraween.
