Species information

Ailanthus triphysa     (Dennst.) Alston

This native tree is commonly known as white siris.

Ailanthus triphysa is described as a "dicot" in the Simaroubaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Uncommon in the Fraser Coast region. Recorded at Mt Walsh, Mount Bauple and Dundowran. Also reported at Mt Kanigan and Grongah National Park.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 9 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Burrum Heads, Dundowran, Dundowran Beach, Eli Waters, Gigoomgan, Glenwood, Malarga, Point Vernon.
