Species information

Alchornea thozetiana     (Baill.) Baill. ex Benth.

This native shrub is commonly known as Thozet's native holly.

Alchornea thozetiana is described as a "dicot" in the Euphorbiaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Uncommon in the Fraser Coast region with one disjunct southern limit record at Dundathu. Also reported at Urangan and Craignish. In Kew Plants of the World Online known as Alchornea ilicifolia.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 3 Fraser Coast localities: Burrum Heads, Dundathu, Urangan.
