Species information

Alectryon coriaceus     (Benth.) Radlk.

This native tree is commonly known as beach alectryon.

Alectryon coriaceus is described as a "dicot" in the Sapindaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Recorded at Dundowran where it is locally common. Also reported at Burrum Heads, Point Vernon and Mary River Heads. Immature fruit Dundowran Beach February 2017. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 13 Fraser Coast localities: Burrum Heads, Dundowran, Dundowran Beach, Eli Waters, Great Sandy Strait, Pialba, Point Vernon, Poona, River Heads, Scarness, Tinnanbar, Toogoom, Torquay.
