Species information

Alectryon subcinereus     (A.Gray) Radlk.

This native tree is commonly known as native quince.

Alectryon subcinereus is described as a "dicot" in the Sapindaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Uncommon in the Fraser Coast region recorded only at Fairles Knob. Reported at various localities in the vicinity of Howard, Hervey Bay and Mt Bauple. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 6 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Booral, Howard, Pialba, Tinana, Urraween.
