Species information

Notelaea longifolia     Vent.

This native tree is commonly known as large mock olive.

Notelaea longifolia is described as a "dicot" in the Oleaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

See Notelaea punctata formerly Notelaea longifolia forma glabra (Queensland Census 2017). 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 26 Fraser Coast localities: Aldershot, Bauple, Bauple Forest, Craignish, Duckinwilla, Dundathu, Dundowran, Gigoomgan, Glenorchy, Glenwood, Granville, Gundiah, Kanigan, K'gari, Magnolia, Mount Urah, Owanyilla, St Mary, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Teddington, Tiaro, Tinnanbar, Tuan Forest, Yengarie, Yerra.
