Persicaria praetermissa     (Hook.f.) H.Hara

This native aquatic plant is commonly known as arrow-leaved knotweed.

Persicaria praetermissa is described as a "dicot" in the Polygonaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Disjunct report at St Helens may be the northern limit of the species (ID to be confirmed). Nearest record is to the south near Gympie.  Regarded as a wetland species in Queensland WetlandInfo.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
