Species information

Amylotheca dictyophleba     (F.Muell.) Tiegh.

This native epiphyte is commonly known as rainforest mistletoe.

Amylotheca dictyophleba is described as a "dicot" in the Loranthaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Uncommon in the Fraser coast region recorded at Mt Walsh, Kawungan and K'gari (Fraser Island). Also reported at Craignish, Dundowran and St Mary. Host trees Jagera pseudorhus var. pseudorhus (2011 and 2017), Syzygium sp. (2017), Sarcopteryx stipata (2024). https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/204124573  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 5 Fraser Coast localities: Craignish, Dundowran, Dundowran Beach, St Mary, Tuan Forest.
